My name is Jeremy (Josey) Ruiz and I live for my family and hunting. I am originally from eastern New Mexico, but have lived in central Texas for the past 11 years. I work for a tower communication company and have recently started up the hunting club, Camo Cartel, along with my closest friends.
I have a wonderful family that includes my wife Sarah and newborn son, Teal. (Yep you guessed it; he was named after a duck!) We are so proud of him and I can’t wait to get him started hunting! I have been hunting for the majority of my life. While my passion is bow hunting, I will not pass up the opportunity to harvest an animal by any legal means. I never knew what whitetail hunting was all about until I moved to central Texas. I am lucky enough to be able to hunt every day of the season if I choose (or almost every day!) While I enjoy it, it doesn’t fire me up like an elk bugling or a turkey gobbling. Three years ago, I picked up a new passion, duck hunting. It is in my blood and my chocolate lab, Ted and I truly enjoy it. I have really gotten into duck calling. I enjoy the challenge of being on the same level as a wild animal when you are calling one in. Whether hunting ducks or hunting elk, I absolutely love being outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
I appreciate all of you for checking out Camo Cartel. There will be more to come in the future! Please join us on our many hunting adventures.
Hang on and enjoy the ride!
